A clairvoyant woman named Annie (Cate Blanchett), uses her "Gift" in an attempt to provide a living for herself and her children in a small country town. A widow, alone and without a job, is disliked and distrusted by most of the townsfolk. Soon she finds herself involved in the lives and problems of some of her clients (Giovanni Ribisi and Hilary Swank). And then as if one client's abusive husband (Keanu Reeves) isn't trouble enough, the town's wealthiest man (Gary Cole) desparately seeks out Annie to help find his missing daughter. As the mystery and danger grows, Annie receives assistance from a mysterious and unexplainable source. A good thriller with plenty of suspense and some surprising twists.
